About This Item
First Edition. Fine / fine. Fur trapper, surveyor and farmer, Warren Ferris came to Texas and surveyed Dallas County and much of northeast Texas in 1837. Originally from New York, he was a prolific letter writer, and these letters have been preserved. He has been described as the least appreciated man in Dallas history. He also spent time in what is now Yellowstone and there is a fold out map of the Northwest Fur Country. The book and jacket are in fine, like new condition.

About mark mcdonald
Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
