Oversized hardcover with price clipped dust jacket, xviii + 489 pages including many drawings throughout, plus endpaper maps and "twenty-four pages [45 photographs] of color plates"; elegant book in appropriate forest green with very bright and clear silver gilt lettering to spine, very gently used, tight in binding, gentle bumps to spine ends but hardly a trace of shelf wear, pale dust speckles and/or foxing spots to top edge, less so to bottom edge, without page penetration, all pages very clean and unmarked; DJ has several tiny chips/tears to top edge, one to bottom edge, now in new mylar protector..
