Dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector. ; B&W Photographs, drawings; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 216 pages; This shows the evolution of the Lancaster bomber from the pre WWII Manchester, through the war years and the important role the Mk IV and V played and into the post war years and its various incarnations. At the back is a log of the individual planes with one line histories. Many photographs and drawings of the planes, crews and others involved the Lancaster history. The colour frontispiece is a rendering of the Lancaster's most famous bombing run as a dam buster. .
