The author examines role that Lake Champlain played in the Revolutionary War as well as the historically important location and the changing modes of transport on the Lake. Contains an index in the rear. There is a previous owner's blindstamp on the bottom of the front end paper and a short note in ink by previous owner at top corner of the front end paper. There is also one comment in the text in the first sentence of the book, in ink ("actor's grandpa") with the naame underlined, else a nice clean and unmarked book. Pages are rippled slightly at the foredge (outside edge). The dust jacket has a little maringal wear, and is now in a removable acetate jacket protector. ; Color & B&W photos; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 296 pages .
