Alfred A. Knopf, New York, 1957. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed. Second printing. Inscribed, SIGNED, and dated (1958) by Conrad Richter on the front endpaper. The volume is rubbed on the spine ends, has some ink notations on the rear endpaper, and taped to the front pastedown is a picture of Conrad Richter. The price clipped dust jacket, sleeved in protective cover, is lightly edge worn, has two light creases on the front panel, a gently sunned spine, and some sporadic light soiling throughout.
