London:: Ackermann & Co,, 1838.. First printing. Very Good. Original tinted lithograph with hand-coloring on heavy stock. (27 x 35.5 cm). Lithographed and printed by Charles Joseph Hullmandel (British 1789-1850) after drawing by William Perring and John Brown. Published by the venerable firm of Ackermann & Co: Royal Book and Printsellers to HM Queen Victoria and HRH Prince Albert. Lady Joan (c. 1328-1385) known as the " Fair Maid of Kent" Princess of Wales and Aquitaine, widow of the Black Prince, and mother of Richard the Second. Known for her eloquence and formidable presence helped preserve portions of the Palace of the Savoy from ultimate devastation by the fury of the mob during the Peasant's Revolt. Matted in Rag Board
