New York: E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1946 This INSCRIBED & SIGNED BY AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR, FIRST EDITION, hard cover, is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. No Jacket. 213 pages bound in black cloth, with stamped gilt design on cover. Gilt on spine is mostly worn off. Inscription of ffp reads "For Clarice Brows from her friends, Anais & Hugo". The story of a woman at war with herself. BINDING AND HINGES STRONG AND TIGHT. Light foxing on top of page edges and 1 spot of ffp, not interfereing with inscription or signature. PAGES STILL BRIGHT.
