Second state of the first American Edition, with cancels of pages 165 and 256; Originally published as "The Power and the Glory"; Yellow cloth with black lettering remains bright and bold; Light scattered shadows in gutters and scattered darkening along edges; End leaves are a little darkened; Pages130/131 are a little darkened where a paper clipping was laid in; Volume remains tight and is otherwise clean and intact; DJ shows chipping and wear along edges and folds, with some separation; There is a one inch mostly closed tear that affects the Y in WAYS of title over front cover; All other lettering and the image on dust jacket remains good. .
