Sarawak only became a colony of the British Government in the immediate aftermath of World War II, when the last Brooke rajah ceded power, Abell was the third British Governor of the colony following the assassination of his predecessor. This book through archive photographs and local newspaper cuttings tell how Abell restored calm, oversaw the development the Brookes had neglected and worked with nascent politicians to plot the colony's future. Very Good paperback. First Edition168 pages. Weight: 0.6 kg Post free within Malaysia The book is unread, having come from the late author's stock. There is some minor spotting on the text block. The binding is tight and the text clear with no tanning throughout.
