About This Item

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia: Pelanduk Publications Sdn. Bhd., 1988. Hardcover. Near Fine. With about half a dozen books about Kuala Lumpur's history to his name, Gullick was the principal historian in English of the city in the latter part of the 20th century. This reprint of a 1955 monograph was his original work on the subject. Although the early days described here might appear to bear little relationship to the sprawling metropolis of today, both settlements shared at least one common characteristic - a rapid growth with which administrators found it difficult, if not impossible, to keep up. 173 pages. Please see the scan of the contents page for further details. Near Fine Hardback Reprint Weight: 0.5kg. Post free within Malaysia Apart from minor dirt marks on the cover, the book looks new
