Garden City NY: Doubleday, Doran & Co., 1933. First Printing . Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 303 pp. Blue cloth with black decoration and label on spine. Lily was a kraal baby, a little waif of the veld. Her first experience of life embraced in rapdi succession the Kafir mistress of a rich adventurer, the aristocratic family of General de Villiers and her unknown father. Cover slightly sun-faded; there is a dent and small tear in the cloth at the center of the bottom edge of the front board. Binding tight, text clean.
