Light thing paper pages, endpapers illustrated with black and white maps, fully illustrated in black & white, page edges when closed are slightly soiled. The author Matthew Ridgway, General United States Army, Retired, "tells for the first time how the Korean War was fought and won; why MacArthur had to be dismissed; what lessons of that war should be applied today in Southeast Asia ----". The frontispieice shows a photograph of the author opposite the title page, under the title there are the following sub-titles: The Korean War, How we met the Challenge, How all-out Asian War was Averted, Why MacArthur was Dismissed, Why Today's War Objectives Must be Limited. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 291 pages .
