Octavo, original pictorial red cloth lettered in gilt on spine and front panel, decorative designs and lettering in black. 317 pp., frontispiece and 6 additional full-page black & white plates inserted within the text, plus a folding map of Greece during the War of Independence, 1821-1829 (complete, as issued). Issued as volume in the publisher's "The Adventure Series". Small stains to endpapers, a few minor tears to margins, corners slightly knocked, minor rubbing to the cloth; a very good copy, tight and sound, complete. Rare.
