Klu Klux Klan; We fit archival quality clear acrylic covers for additional protection whenever possible. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 294 pages; Navy cloth stamped in gilt, 294 pages, several b/w photo illustrations. Covers rubbed, most gilt lost, text still tight and clean, brief aging mostly at endpapers, few pencil marginal notations, one ink squiggle at last page. Scarce attempt at "an accurate description of this national organization, which is reported to be increasing its membership at the rate of more than 1,000 a day. Colonel Jones is not a member of the Ku Klux Klan and was not born in the South, so he made his investigation without any prejudice one way or the other ... Bent on getting all the facts concerning the Klan, and writing the history in an accurate and interesting manner" - from the "Publisher's Note" at front of volume.
