About This Item
G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1894. Hardcover. Very Fine. Elaborate gilt design to front of blue boards and spine (still bright); Volume I has two micro splits at crown cloth and Volume II has a 1/4" chip at crown. Does not detract. Top edges gilt (still bright/as new). The splendid Van Twiller Edition. Beveled edges with pictorial end-papers. Both volumes have previous owners name (in copperplate script) on front free end-papers. Inner paste down has one line of numbers near top edge. All neatly done. Tissue guards in place on both frontispieces. Clean - tight, no markings to interior pages at all. Every page is bordered in green and red with text within. A beautiful edition. Postage at cost, but so worth it. Heavy set, suggest Media postage.
