New York: Scribners, 1925 First edition of the book that is generally considered the most outstanding example of the art of Parrish's book illustration. Parrish's biographer, Coy Ludwig states: " the illustrations, printed in rich colors...were the highest quality reproductions that could be had." (Ludwig, p. 48). . Original black with pictorial onlay on front board. . Large quarto. Full and partial-page color illustrations throughout, pictorial endpapers (twenty-six illustrations in all). Light shelfwear, light foxing to first and last few leaves. A very good, bright copy
