About This Item

This book makes a contribution to the record of pioneering life in New Zealand, and concentrates particularly on the Shetland Islanders who came to regard New Zealand as their "Second Home". Blue boards with gilt titling on spine and front, end papers have black and white maps, each one different, black and white illustration on title page, illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and maps, 146 pages. Lower spine end slightly bumped, there is a quarter-inch rubbed spot on back left edge near bottom, otherwise book is in great shape. Dust jacket has edgewear, closed tears and chipping to bottom edge, a one-inch by quarter-inch open tear on back left edge near bottom, light shelf wear, but is clean and bright.
