New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1951. Signed Limited Edition. Near Fine. Signed limited first edition, number M (A-Z were gifted to publishers) of only 385 copies signed by Edward. ix, 435 pp. with fold-out map at rear. Publisher's full morocco with gilt lettering, ruling, top edge, and dentelles, with silken moire endpapers; housed in original plain red cloth slipcase. Near Fine with light wear and darkening to spine and light rubbing to the front joint, slight rubbing to gilt top edges. Slipcase is lightly worn, lightly sunned at the the edges and with several tiny stains.
An elegant signed memoir by the former British king, who stepped down less than a year into his reign to marry already twice-divorced commoner and archetypal "dreadful American" Wallis Simpson.
