About This Item

London and New York: George Routledge & Sons, 1885. Pictorial Boards. Good binding. A copy of King John and the Abbot of Canterbury, illustrated by William Hinscliff. An amusing, rhyming ditty about the heavy taxes of bad King John. Heavily illustrated, with capitals in red. Illustrated half title and title page. Loss to the fore edge of the title page, not affecting the text; foxing to the preliminaries. Surface loss to the front and rear boards, and some silverfishing. Quarter maroon cloth over blue pictorial paper boards. Beveled edges. Folio. Good binding.
