About This Item

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1936. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good +. NICELY INSCRIBED BY S.S. VAN DINE TO MYSTERY WRITER WILLIAM C. WEBER on the front free endpaper. A very solid copy to boot of the 1936 1st edition (with both the letter 'A' and the Scribner colophon on the copyright page). Tight and VG+ (light rubbing to the silver-titling on the front panel) in a crisp, price-intact ($2.00), VG+ dustjacket, with very light creasing along the panel edges. Thick 12mo, the 10th title in Van Dine's wonderful "Philo Vance" series.
