Lacking plates opposite of page 311 and 312 (Formation of the Human Fetus, plate I and plate II) and opposite of page 344 (The Action of Quickening). Rebacked with leather spine covers and leather over corners, retaining early (original?) leather covers over boards. Raised spine band leather spine label. Original end leaves with book plate on front paste down. Leaves are darkened along edges and show scattered foxing, spots, and tide marks. A few leaves with some wear on edges and a couple of old repairs to tears in paper. Nicely repaired and now a solid and accessible copy.
