Leipzig: Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1882. Hardcover. A mystery detective novel, one of Trollope's final novels. 16mo, in one volume, 288 pages; Tauchnitz' Volume 2107 in its "Collection of British Authors" Series. 1882 is the same date as the publication of the first edition in England. One half cream calf with blue and brown oval patterned boards. Gilt title at black spine label. Spine is dusty and slightly chipped at top and base. Black spine label chipped at edges, title is still legible; hinge cracked. Internally, signature inside front cover, dated 1926, Florence; o/w very good.
