About This Item
London, United Kingdom: Frederick Muller Ltd, 1976. A very presentable copy which has been signed in thick brown felt tip pen by Ken Russell in large flamboyant letters to the front free endpaper. There is a small previous owners name written in small neat letters in blue pen ink again to the corner of the free endpaper. A very clean copy inside and out. The dustwrapper shows a particularly extrovert colour photograph of the controversial director to the front panel. The spine is typically sunned otherwise a nice example of the dustwrapper which shows only light signs of handling. Protected in a removable archival bookseeve to preserve its condition. An excellent biography of the enfant terrible of British cinema who worked closely with the likes of Oliver Reed and Alan Bates. Becoming alot more appreciated now after an extraordinary body of work. Renowned for his painstaking attention to detail. The devil is in the detail ! A saying which could have been invented for this eccentric yet talented director. 48 pages of excellent photographic plates and a filmography and bibliography.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Very Good/Good +. FIRST EDITION.
