Roanoke, VA:The Southwest Virginia Historical Society. 1938. xxxvi+786pp. Many illustrations, including 9 folding maps. 1st edition, number 879 of 1000 copies. Hardcover. Boards are lightly soiled and shelfworn, with gilt still bright on front board and spine. Page edges soiled from dust residue. Internally, the inside front board has a previous owners inked signature and bookplate, with some offset to 1st free endpage, but otherwise pages are clean and bright. The binding is tight and front hinge intact but rear hinge is cracked. Overall, a very good copy.
