Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd, London, No date. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: R. T. Cooper. The text is illustrated by R. T. Cooper. Dark maroon coloured cloth covered boards with green coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with brown and yellow coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. An adventure set in the wild and rugged area of Afghanistan – the Khyber Pass. Softening to the back strip edges with bumping of the top book corners. Browning and foxing of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning and foxing to the endpapers and the top right hand corner of the free front endpaper has been clipped. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges with a two inch tear to the top left hand corner of the front panel and a similar sized tear to the front fold over crease, top region. Some small tears in creasing to the top dustwrapper edge with rubbing of the panels. An erosion mark – removal of a sticker – to the lower left hand corner of the rear panel.
