Title continues: "Whereunto is annexed an Abridgement of all the Statutes, whereof the whole or any part is generall, in force, and use, with certaine Quaeres, Cautions, and Advertisements of such things that be doubtfull, together with the Authoritie and Duetie of Iustices, Sherifes, Coroners, Eschetors, Maiors, Bailifes, Customers, Stewards of Leets and Liberties, and what things by severall Statutes in force they must, may, ought, or are compellable to doe. Editum per mandatum Domini Regis." Rebound in period full limp vellum, manuscript spine; 4to; pp. [7], 449, [3] ff., with woodcut vignette to head of title-p., woodcut head-pieces. Text block detached from vellum, tho still a nice, tight single unit; vellum soiled, significantly so on rear cover; initial (blank) leaf heavily worn; some very light chipping along the edges of the first few and final leaves -- but no loss of text. A compilation of legal statutes, rare in the first edition. A popular work, going through four editions by 1617.
