About This Item
NY: Coward-McCann; (1950). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. First U.S. edition of the author's first book, this is a review copy. Actually, the review slip gives the publication date as April 16, 1951; the book is apparently the U.K. edition with a Coward-McCann imprint (the copyright page has a 1950 date and "Printed in Great Britain"). Near fine in a very good+ dust jacket. The top edge of the pages is slightly dusty and has one tiny stain. The yellow jacket is flimsy and in nice shape except for browning on the spine, along the top edges and around the flaps. A relatively scarce item, especially in a pre-publication state.
