About This Item

New York:George H. Doran Company, 1923. hard cover. Good/No jacket. http://www.parnassusbooks.com/image/data/books/2015/04/0_01759.jpg. With a preface by Hilaire Belloc. New York:George H. Doran Company. (1923). 333pp. Without the publishers monogram on the copyright page but with the 1 at bottom of page. Hardcover without the dust jacket. With the bookplate of Dr. Herbert T. Kalmus, one of the inventors of technicolor. Covers faded and shelf-worn, with some soiling. Internally, the end-pages are foxed and age-toned but otherwise, aside from the bookplate and Dr. Kalmus's stamp on the first free flyleaf, the pages are clean with the last half of the book still uncut. Overall, a near very good, solid copy.

About Parnassus Book Service

Ben Muse began selling books from the former Knowles General Store in 1959. Now in our third generation, we are a famiy-run, general book store selling new and old (often rare) books as well as issuing specialty catalogs on a variety of subjects: Americana, Latin America, Maritime, Art, the Orient and a variety of other subjects. If you can't find what you are looking for here on the web, please contact us directly at our Yarmouthport shop -- or better yet stop by to browse and talk. We look forward to seeing you.
