Aarau, Galerie 6, 1986. 4°, 16 Bl., zahlr. Abb., Geheftet, Umschlag etwas angeschmutzt, sonst tadell. Ausstellungskatalog. - Fritz Strebel (1920-1997) aufgewachsen im aargauischen Bottenwil. Früher Drang zur freien Malerei. 1937, noch vor der Lehre, Privatunterricht im Atelier von Max Paul Linck. Ausbildung zum Retoucheur in der Firma Ringier in Zofingen. Abendkurse an der Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich bei Max Gubler und Ernst Georg Rüegg. 1956 Mitbegründer der Freien Gruppe, einer Vereinigung von Künstlern der Region Zofingen, die in Opposition zur GSMBA Aargau neuere Ausdrucksformen eintreten. Wohnt seit 1952 in Brittnau, ab 1976 in Zofingen. Der erste Preis im Wettbewerb für ein Wandbild im Coop-Verteilzentrum in Wangen bei Olten erlaubt 1962 die Aufgabe des Brotberufs. Strebel unterrichtet aber weiterhin Zeichnen und Kunstgeschichte an der Gewerbeschule Zofingen (einer seiner Schüler ist Hugo Suter). Längere Aufenthalte in der Toskana, vor allem im Benediktinerkloster Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Aufträge für Kunst am Bau: Wandbilder, Mosaiken, Glasfensterzyklen. Enge Beziehung zur Literatur: Zeichnungen zu Texten von Georg Trakl (1887–1914) und Franz Kafka (1883–1924); Porträt von Regina Ullmann (1884–1961); Freundschaft mit Gerhard Meier (1917–2008). 1973 Werkjahr des Aargauer Kuratoriums. 1969 Ausstellung im Aargauer Kunsthaus, 2000–01 Gedächtnisretrospektive im alten Schützenhaus, Zofingen. 010

Terms of payment

Invoices are to be paid within 15 days. For first orders we reserve delivery after payment in advance. In case of delay of payment, the second reminder is charged at an extra cost of CHF 10.00. Also, other additional costs are charged to the customer.

Sales return

In the event of a well-founded claim, the merchandise can be returned upon consultation within 14 days. If the claim turns out to be unsubstantiated, or the damage is the result from improper handling by the customer etc., all the costs are charged to the customer. Returns are only accepted with the invoice enclosed. Damages during shipment have to be notified within 48 hours. Otherwise the refund expires. Return upon dissatisfaction is excluded.

Place of venue

We are subject only to Swiss law. Place of venue is Zurich.
