Small folio, 15 x 11 inches, cloth in dust jacket, book very good, jacket good plus with some surface soil, edgewear, several short tears to edges. 72 pp, illustrated, some in color. RARE with OCLC locating 8 holdings, 7 in the US and 1 at the V&A in London. K. Venkatappa (1886-1965) was a pioneer painter, sculptor and an exponent of veena. He was born into a family of court painters in the princely state of Mysore, present day Karnataka. He was a pupil of Abanindranath Tagore. He was best known for his watercolors.
