Companion Books, London, U.K., 1955. First Edition. Hardcover. VG+/VG. 7 1/2 x 5 x 1 1/8. NON SMOKING STORE. MY LISTING INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK FOR SALE. Book VERY GOOD PLUS, Dust Jacket VERY GOOD. Very Gently Read. Boards and spine are brown cloth, lettering is gilt in green. Dust jacket is white/brown, is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, spine is sunned, edges have chips and a few creases, a number of small rips, some with bits of paper missing. Book covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, top of spine is worn open but not major, some sunning at top and bottom of spine, some edge wear to bottom of boards, one bent corner, no spine creases, a small spot on bottom rear edge of spine is starting to tear with three tiny holes, spine is slightly slanted, and interior of book seems to sag a bit. Top page edges are tinted, as issued, and bottom edges are a bit dusty. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Owner’s name, date, ink on ffep. 10 Sections of Black/white photo plates. Foreword by M. P. Ansell. Contents. List of Illustrations.

I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
