An entertaining and vivid account of this eccentric Victorian lady who found her vocation at the age of 48. Utilizing anecdote and contemporary document, the author conveys the sweep of Julia Cameron's society as well as fully discussing her technique and the influence of her work on Victorian poetry and painting. Reprinted in full is Julia Cameron's autogiographical account, "Annals of My Glass House". This monograph, based on the long out-of-print edition of 1948, has been expanded to include 20 illustrations and 60 full-page reproductions.
