New York: Simon and Schuster NONE [NONE] 1959, 4th printing. (hardcover) 303pp. Very good in good dust jacket. 8vo. Bernstein's first book which contains hundreds of musical pieces performed on television if they read the text that accompanies each example and even those who do not read music can follow them. The jacket shows tears and chips, but is now housed in a loose protective mylar sleeve to prevent any further wear. The book, bound in dark grey cloth, is stained at the head of the spine and there is an gift inscription penned (neat) in green to the front free endpaper, lavender in colour. Internally clean and bright. Solid binding. The first edition, was reprinted 7 times of which this is a 4th, and has been published in several further editions which include as a paperback and an ebook. Overall, very good copy..
