Translated. numerous illustrations (some small text and 25 separate full-page plates), folding map, xxviii, 331p. plus 8p. publisher's advertisements dated March, 1837. Contemporary (original?) cloth, rebacked in modern brown cloth. 23cm. Corners wear. Scattered foxing (heaviest on some of the plates). Minor wear to contents. The plate called for at page 116 appears as the frontis.
