About This Item
London: James Cawthorn, 1813. Second Edition. Half Morocco over Marbled Boards. Very Good. 2 volumes, 4to, with 17 hand-colored plates, seven of which are double page plates. Also two folding maps and an uncolored frontis plate as well. Abbey 202. Hobhouse apparently made this journey in the company of Lord Byron, whose executor he later was. Occasional light foxing, with the maps a bit more heavily foxed. Plates are bright and generally clean. Some scuffs and faint dullness to the leather and shelfwear to the boards. Still an attractive binding.
