In very good condition with very good dustwrapper. (dw; spine tanned, rubbed and nicked at spine ends, edges and corners rubbed, some handling marks, stain to rear corner/flap.) In protective sleeve. Not price clipped.) Cover clean and smart. Neat inscription to endpaper “Richard Southwood, Christmas 1965.” Inside pages all clean and tight. Map clean and crisp, no tears. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 307pp. With large fold-out coloured map at rear. The book describes one of the longest journeys into Russia by a writer without political bias. It is not an account of a search for proof of any view or theory.
