Itinerary includes: Beeston Castle, Doddington Hall, Lichfield, Tamworth, Coventry, Combe Abbey, Gorhambury, Dunstable, St. Albans, Woburn, Ampthill, Northampton, Luton, Hatfield and much more. Illustrated with 6 Full-Page engraved Plates. Frontis illus. is a view of Chester in 1777. Contemporary dark Brown Half-Leather Binding, with light Brown pebbled cloth-covered Boards and Leather Corners. Gilt horizontal divisions on spine with Gilt title in 2nd compartment. All page edges speckled Red. 8 1/2" Tall, 622 p.pages, 890g. Some edge wear. Small, fine crack to paper at bottom of front hinge (22 long). Text block firm. Previous owner's name and embossed address on corner of ffep. Old penciled price & ref on fly-leaf. No other inscriptions. Only a few occasional; spots of fairly light browning. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
