Blind stamped, triple border at cover edges. Spine is lettered in gilt and stamped ornamentation. Blind stamped illustration matching cover image on the back cover. Illustrated with a folding lithograph map, four titled litho plates and text plates occasionally throughout in black and white, some protected by a tissue guard. Frontispiece is a black and white engraving titled "Modern Oriental Costume". Includes account of Taylor's journey up the Nile and back, (1851 and 1852). 522 pp. <br><br>CONDITION: Shows general rubbing and wear and foxing throughout. Flyleaf bears embossed seal "S. C. Courtenay Books Stationary and Fancy Goods, 5 Broad St., Charleston". Previous owner's marks within endpapers in both pencil and ink. Additional photographs available upon request. Full refund if not satisfied.
