The story of a 16 year old orphan who fights in the civil war for the Union Army and is given the assignm ent of keeping the "G" Company journal. Very interesting to read as he cowers, then fights in several battles. He ends up behind Confederate lines and is hidden by a black family, then is able to hel p them all escape to safety. Includes pictures and sketches from the Civil War..
