About This Item
New York: The Viking Press, 1972. Paperback. 762p., furnished with occasional vignette-sized reproductions of line art, softbound in a fat 7.5x5 inch paperback with decorated covers, faint cover-corner crease else virtually as new: sound, no creasing to spine panel at all (i.e., no "reader's creasing"), cover and the enormous textblock clean and unmarked, this is an excellent copy. Viking Compass Book C335. FYI, Motherwell could not fully endorse the Pach translation; in the course of two brief pages he wishes that Pach had "stayed closer to the sentencing and paragraphing of the original"..adding "but the gist is accurate enough, and a thorough revision would have made the book more expensive.." --ouch.
