Linciln and London: University of Nebraska Press, 1993. Second Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Inscribed on the half-title page "To Anne Alexander/Yours in Girl Scouting!/Best Wishes/Grace Corrigan/Mar 2, 1994". Christa McAuliffe was the first civilian chosen to go into space and died with her fellow astronauts in the Challenger explosion of January 28, 1986. She was a dedicated Girl Scout and became a school teacher. She was little known until selected by NASA to be sent on a space mission to become "Teacher in Space". Clean unmarked copy, soild binding, cloth and dust jacket rubbed, small paper scuff on half title page.
