London: Kegan, Trench, Trubner & Co, 1838. Engraving with hand coloring in watercolor, 4 1/8 x 6 3/4 inches (104 x 170 mm), full margins. In good condition with minor handling creases and a pencil notation in the lower right corner, outside of the image area. From Jorrocks's Jaunts and Jollities; or, The Hunting, Shooting, Racing, Driving, Sailing, Eating, Eccentric and Extravagant Exploits of That Renowned Sporting Citizen, Mr. John Jorrocks, of St. Botolph Lane and Great Coram Street, by Robert Smith Surtees. A scene depicting one of the many humorous adventures of Mr. Jorrocks, a Cockney grocer who aspires to the sporting life of a country gentleman.
