Contains Chapters 1 Accountants, 2 Agriculture and Horticulture, 3 Aircraft, Aviation and Airports, 4 Aliens, 5 Animals and Birds, 6 Architects and Engineers, 7 Assignments for Benefit of Creditors, 8 Athletic Commision, 9 Attorneys and Counselors, 10 Banks and Banking, 11 Barbers and Beauty Culturists, 12 Births and Deaths, 13 Blue Sky Law, 14 Building and Loan Association, 15 Business, Police and Miscellaneous Regulations, 16 Canals and Waterways, 17 Cemetaries, 18 Charities, 19 Children, and 20 Chiropody. 772 pages including index plus 261 pages (booklet with staple binding) of the 1940 Cumulative Supplement inserted in pocket at rear of book. The binding was designed to accommodate the insert; book is a nice square volume, a handsome copy. Cover shows some shelf wear with rubbing to edges and corners and a scratch to back, tiny foxing spots on top edge of textblock, some age darkening.
