About This Item

W. W. Norton and Company, 1953. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine in Very Good DJ. First printing, near fine red cloth hardcover shows a touch of soil at page edges and bit of toning to pages, else tight and clean, in very good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows mild rubbing and soil, along with edgewear that includes small closed tears and little bit of wrinkling. 294 pages with black & whites and index. Still a good looking copy of this work that "..tells the whole story of the privateers, buccaneers, and pirates who populated the great era of piracy.
