About This Item
Text is clean and unmarked in a square and tight binding. Volume appears unused. DJ has very minor smudging, slight wear along the outer edges, and a chip out of the top spine. From the front DJ flap, "This is surely the first time anyone has thought of reprinting a dictionary for the primary purpose of entertaining its readers; and normally to do so would be absurd. But Samuel Johnson was a man of such distinctive personality that even in defining words he makes it felt."
