London: Fredrick Warne & Co,. Paperback. 184pp. Black and white frontis. Binding is not terribly secure and the earliest prelims are coming loose. Front hinge is very weak. Heavily foxed to prelims and last few pages; fairly clean to majority of text. Paper covering to spine is peeling away from gatherings to bottom egde. Detailed introduction to Fifth edition. A reading copy of an interesting book that in it's five slightly differing editions represents Ruskin's popular standing at the turn of the nineteenth century. A reading copy. Reading copy only .
