London: Sampson, Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1884 Ex-Library. Fair. Dark Green Cloth Boards. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Biography of the poet, with many examples of his work, an index and a list of his writings. 413pp with a portrait to the frontispiece and five other black and white illustrations. Gilt lettering to spine. Top edges tinted. Both hinges cracked, front endpaper and frontis loose, corners and spine bumped and slight damage to the spine which has been covered with sellotape. Library stamp inside front cover, pages edges tanned. A couple of turned corners, otherwise fair condition for age. Also contains a newspaper cutting of an obituary of Francis Henry Underwood, which has been glued to the title page..
