Very good condition. A May 13, 1891 signed letter from John Burroughs, the American poet, essayist & naturalist (1837 - 1921), friend of Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau, to "Dear Sir. The letter reads, "In reply to yours of the 16th I have to say that I have no information about the scenery along the Ottawa River, & am sorry to say I can not refer you to any source from which you can obtain it. Very Respy (sic), John Burroughs". Written at West Park NY. 5 x 8"
