About This Item
London: Holland Press, 1964. With a reconstruction of the Leipzig Liturgy of his period. This is quite a rare title. The jacket and spine both feature moderate rubbing. There is a 1cm crease at the bottm right of the jacket on the front, a small tear- about half a cm at the bottom of the spine, which is accompanied by a crease halfway across the spine, and there is a 1cm crease at the top of the spine. The edges of the DJ are a bit frayed, it is price clipped, and a USD price has been stamped on the flap. Corners are bumped on both jacket and cover, which is blue with gilded text on the spine. There is some foxing along the edges of the cover. FPE has a sticker from the book's US distributor. Some smudges on both free endpages. This book is unread and unmarked. The text contains over 200 libretti and a translation of every cantata composed by back, each of which is fully annotated. An essential book for any performer or critic of Bach.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good.
