Black-and-white photographic half title page, showing Henry Lawson and the ballad writer E. J. Brady at Mallacoota, Victoria, in 1910. Illustrated title page, being a reproduction of a crayon portrait of Henry Lawson by Reg Russom in 1922. The text is illustrated with black-and-white contemporary photography and black-and-white illustrations from early Henry Lawson's works and then coloured photography taken from the television series. The book has been printed on different coloured paper, the white for the introduction and then a different coloured paper for each story. Short stories from Henry Lawson around his character of Joe Wilson. Rubbing of the book corners and back strip corners. Fading of the back strip and to the top edge of the front panel. A couple of marks to the book panels with very light age toning of the text block edges. Size: Folio (over 12" tall ). 120 pages, last blank.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
